Your faith is not in vain! He is risen!

2,000 years ago there were skeptics too. This is nothing new. In 1 Corinthians Paul bluntly reports that the resurrection is proof of Jesus’ divinity. Otherwise it is all in vain. If Jesus were just a good man, or just a prophet then nothing would have changed.

And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. Therefore, those who have fallen asleep in Christ have also perished. If we have put our hope in Christ for this life only, we should be pitied more than anyone. (1 Corinthians 15:17-19 HCSB)

This seems a bit scary, but have hope. He is risen. Centuries later and the News is still good. Jesus came for two reasons. To serve and to give his life as a ransom for many. There is no greater love. He has solved a problem that we could never fix on our own.

For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also comes through a man. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:21, 22 HCSB)

You can not solve this problem of sin, you cannot work your way out of it. You cannot earn your way out with good behavior. You can only receive the gift that has been given to you and everyone else. God’s forgiveness is bigger than any sin we can commit. All you ever need to do is ask.

He is risen indeed!
